Michelle Scott
My Story
My name is Michelle Scott and I am running the Dublin City Marathon on behalf of my husband Ross who provides a very important service in the community screening patients for Diabetic Retinopathy.
Diabetic Retinopathy is a complication of diabetes caused by high blood sugar levels damaging the back of the eye (retina). It can take several years for diabetic retinopathy to threaten your sight but it can cause blindness if left undiagnosed and untreated.
Your donation allows Diabetes Ireland to provide support, education and community services in your local area.
I'm so happy to have the opportunity to run the Dublin City Marathon and raise vital funds for Diabetes Ireland. I've run some trail marathons and ultra trail marathons but running the Dublin City Marathon is a completely different challenge. It has always been on my bucket list and I am really looking forward to the whole experience.
Thank you so much to Diabetes Ireland For this opportunity and thank you so much for your donations to this very worthy cause.
Kind Regards
Michelle Scott
